Because matcha gets boring and there is other green stuff to enjoy.
With St. Patty’s Day coming up next week, we thought it’d be fun to try a green dessert we’ve never made as well as add one to the March menu.
I just want to disclaim that we LOVE matcha simply steeped in hot water. And we LOVE key lime dessert! But we also love pistachios and avocados which we also recommend implementing into your desserts.

Pistachios are in a lotta things like baklava, ice cream, cake…. but avocado doesn’t get as much love. We’d been wanting to try something different but delicious using avocado and we found a great recipe! The things we love about it is its light, adult level of sweetness; it is just pound cake without any real distinct flavor (think white cake or yellow cake)… but still bomb. You may get a hint of avocado at the end, but it is not overpowering nor does it leave you with a weird aftertaste.
The other cool factors are that it keeps really well on the countertop. It’s super moist yet delicate, AS ALL POUND CAKES SHOULD BE. It freezes beautifully. And it’s unique green color is perfect to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day or even Halloween, Kwanzaa or Christmas.
So tell us, would you make this one? Would you even try it? Or are you just gonna take our word that it was yummy?
